For Noah Stellar, art serves as a primary language to “translate” the complex, often conflicting values of East and West. Drawing deep spiritual influence from his grandfather, a hibakusha (atomic bomb survivor), and his grandmother, a traditional artist, his work is a profound synthesis of his unique ancestral legacy. Following his research at UC Berkeley—where he received Highest Honors for merging Western abstraction with anime aesthetics—Stellar has even developed his own experimental materials and handmade papers to bridge tradition and modernity. Currently an MFA candidate at SCAD, this exhibition represents the culmination of his journey, integrating historical roots into a cutting-edge spatial encounter.
